An award is also pending at State Company for Oil Projects (SCOP)for the installation of a 70,000-b/d crude distillation unit at the refinery. Output from the country’s dilapidated refineries has slumped since last May. Diesel production fell to 11 million litres a day (l/d) in June from about 15 million l/d in April, forcing Iraq to increase imports of refined products from neighbouring countries (MEED 20:2:04).
