Deyaar Development, the real estate subsidiary of Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB), has made three contract awards on projects in Business Bay and Dubai Media City (DMC).

At Business Bay, the local Al-Shafar General Contracting has been awarded the estimated AED 350 million ($95 million) main contract on the Citadel project. The 23-month contract calls for the construction of a 41-storey office tower with a six-level podium and three-level basement. The local Dutch Foundations is working on the piling, shoring, excavation and dewatering package.

The local Edrafor has been awarded the enabling works package for Deyaar's other Business Bay project, the twin-tower Churchill Executive project. Tenders are due to be submitted for the main package on 1 April. The scheme involves the construction of a common two-level podium and a three-level basement, a 57-storey residential tower and a 42-storey office tower. The local Dar Consult is the design consultant for both projects; Deyaar will carry out project management in house.

At DMC, the local/Lebanese Emirates MAN has been awarded the main contract on a 25-storey office tower that will be located in a new phase of the free zone. Germany's Kling Consult is the consultant (MEED 4:11:05).
