Dodsal to build Jumeirah Park villas for Nakheel

UAE-based Dodsal has won a contract, worth about $250 million, to build villas in the Jumeirah Park residential complex, planned by local property developer Nakheel.
UAE-based Dodsal has won a contract, worth about $250 million, to build villas in the Jumeirah Park residential complex, planned by local property developer Nakheel.

The 20-month contract covers the construction of 380 five-bedroom villas in the development, which lies between Sheikh Zayed road and Emirates road in Dubai, adjacent to Jumeirah Islands, another Nakheel development.

The project is spread over an area of 3.2 square kilo-metres. Future work will cover the con--

struction of three and four-

bedroom villas. The first households will be ready by 2009.

Beirut-based Dar al-Handasah (Shair & Partners) is the consultant, US-based EDSA prepared the masterplan, the local Al-Khatib Cracknell is the landscape consultant, and Australia's Bovis Lend Lease is the project manager (MEED 8:9:06).
