Companies have until 9 May to respond to Ashghal tender
Qatar’s Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has issued a tender for advisory services on plans to improve surface and groundwater infrastructure at Doha, Wakrah and Khor.
A total of four companies have been prequalified to bid for the contract. The winner will prepare a drainage infrastructure plan for the three cities.
The contract covers plans for infrastructure related to foul water, surface water and treated sewage effluent together with associated pumping stations.
The selected bidder will undertake an initial investigation into issues regarding surface water and groundwater in each of the three areas and will assess the current collection and disposal systems.
The consultant will then review surface water and groundwater management systems that have already been built or are under construction elsewhere.
A report will then be written on possible collection and disposal options available for the project, together with their viability for the three cities.
