Bids to be submitted by 18 October
Qatar’s Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has invited contractors to bid by 18 October for the contract to build the second phase of the Al-Garaffa area sewerage network.
Phase two of the project covers an area of roughly 5.86 square kilometres and is located 10 kilometres northwest of Doha. Most of the plots in the area will be used for housing projects.
The chosen contractor will construct a network that drains sewage from the catchment area to a pumping station. Work will include 23.5km of open-cut trench sewers, 1.5km of sewers of microtunnelling, 760 in-situ concrete manholes, 1,050 house connections, and 15.5km of lateral connections.
The contractor will also construct, test and maintain the system.
