South Korea’s Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction has been awarded the KD88m ($320m) contract to build Kuwait’s first reverse osmosis desalination plant by the Electricity & Water Ministry.
The 30 million gallon a day plant will be built on an engineering, procurement and construction basis.
It will be located at Shuwaikh, west of Kuwait City.
