Companies team up to help companies harness data centre technology
Dubai-based Drake & Scull International (DSI) and Chinese information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider Huawei have formed a partnership to help companies set up data centres across the region.
The agreement will combine Huaweis expertise in enterprise ICT infrastructure with DSIs operational capabilities in data centre development as well as their wealth of regional experience as an integrated engineering service provider.
In particular, the alliance will see Huawei focus on providing ICT solutions covering internet protocol (IP) networking, unified communications & collaborations (UCC) and data centre solutions. DSI will emphasize providing turnkey EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) design & build solutions, and to undertake all aspects of the development of data centers in collaboration with Huawei.
We are living in an era of big data with organizations in the region demanding infrastructure and networks that need to be highly secure, scalable and reliable, said Dong Wu, Vice President of Huawei Enterprise Middle East.
Creating a robust and scalable data centre requires a high level of precision not just in core IT hardware, but also in the design and deployment of that technology within a set project to offer 24-hour operational service, added Mr. Khaldoun Tabari, CEO of Drake & Scull International.
