Work involves installing a network serving a housing complex
Drake & Scull Engineering has been awarded a AED172m ($47m) contract by the Abu Dhabi government for the installation of a district cooling network serving a housing complex.
The work involves designing and building a district cooling plant with five chillers of 2,500 tonnes of refrigeration (TR) capacity, a total of 12,500 TR and related civil, mechanical and electrical work. The work for the plant has already commenced and will be completed in late 2015.
It will provide cooling for an existing complex of 1,357 residential units in Abu Dhabi.
Drake & Scull Engineering is a subsidiary of Dubai-based Drake & Scull International.
