Du has selected Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) for its AED400m upgrade of its mobile network operations in the UAE. The deal will see NSN expand Du's 2G network and introduce its 3G HSPA+ network with speeds of up to 42Mb as part of Du's existing 3G HSPA+ network. NSN will also deploy an all-IP FlexiPacket Microwave Backhaul solution in order to reduce Du's operating costs and additionally integrate the operator's VAS platform.
