Dubai’s Emirates National Oil Company (Enoc) says it has completed a $250m, 58km jet fuel pipeline from its terminal in Jebel Ali port to Dubai International airport.

The facility has:

  • a storage capacity of 140,000 cubic metres and
  • a pumping capacity of 850 cubic metres per hour.

The pumping capacity meets 55 percent ?of the airport’s fuel demand. The pipeline can also pump fuel to the Al-Maktoum international airport.

India’s Punj Lloyd won the contract from Enoc subsidiary Horizon Terminals to build an oil terminal and the jet fuel pipeline in 2012.
