Dubai contractor Drake & Scull has announced that its civil contracting arm has been awarded a Dhs845m ($230m) contract in Algeria, Reuters has reported. The company, which has shifted its focus to other regional markets after a slowdown in the UAE's property sector, reported a higher fourth quarter net profit and said it was awarded projects worth Dhs4.4bn in 2011 compared to Dhs3.4bn in 2010.
