W Hotel project include a 36-storey tower and retail podium
Dubai Construction Company has won the contract to build a $200m mixed-use tower in Amman.
The contractor is a subsidiary of UAE-based Dubai Contracting Company, and the project client is Saraya Abdali Real Estate Investment Company, which is a unit of Dubai-based Saraya Holdings.
The project involves building a 36-storey mixed-use tower in the Abdali area of the Jordanian capital that will contain a 280-room W Amman. The development will also include a retail podium. The project architect is US-based Perkins & Will.
The hotel is expected to open in 2016.
In June, Abu Dhabi’s Al-Maabar received bids from eight contractors for the contract to build its St Regis hotel development in Amman.
