Dubai Duty Free 2010 sales hit $902m

Dubai Duty Free (DDF) has said its sales for the first nine months of 2010 rose 14.5% to $902m over the corresponding period in 2009. Perfumes were the best seller category with sales of $127m for the first nine months of the year representing 16% increase over the same period last year. Liquor sales totalled $123m, an increase of 13%, while gold sales rose 11% to $96m, retaining third position. Sales of electronics rose by 8% to $68m, while watches saw sales grow by 29% to $53m, accounting for 6% of total sales revenue.
