Bids were originally due to be submitted on 21 July. The deadline was postponed following requests from potential bidders.
The successful bidder will carry out a feasibility study for the plant. This will include gathering solar information, identifying potential sites for the plant, recommending its capacity and analysing technologies.
The study will also cover investment analysis and the conceptual design of the plant.
Fichtner Solar and Lahmeyer International, both of Germany, are planning to submit bids for the work (MEED 4:7:08).
