Dubai Lifestyle City awards infrastructure contract to Bin Ladin

Dubai Lifestyle City has awarded a AED49m ($13.3m) infrastructure contract to Saudi-based Bin Ladin Contracting.

The contract will cover infrastructure installations within Dubai Lifestyle City, including sewerage and storm water drainage, fire-fighting systems, street lighting and cable works.

Cansult Maunsell, part of the US-based Aecom, is working on the design and supervising the infrastructure works development. Work on grading, levelling and site mobilisation of the project has been completed.

Dubai Lifestyle City is a AED2.5bn ($681m) project based in Dubailand, covering 371,000 square metres, to be completed by September 2009. ETA Star and Ascon Group is the client.
