The DFM ended the second week of October with a small loss at 1,746.71 points. Heavyeights Emaar Properties (down 1.50% at Dhs3.94) and the DFM share itself (off 1.09% at Dhs1.82) weighed on the index. Traded value declined six percent to Dhs336.96m and 202.5m shares changed hands. Nevertheless the improved sentiment which started in September raised prospects for investment banks like Shuaa Capital whose shares gained 4.35% to finish at Dhs1.20. Shuaa shares surged 23.66% during the last month.
