Dubai Municipality (DM) plans to set up an incineration plant designed to accommodate 6,500 tonnes of waste per day and generate an estimated electricity of 150 MW/h, Khaleej Times has reported. The waste management department at the municipality has set 19 December as the deadline for receiving bids from 11 companies which participated in the primary bidding process following an international pre-qualification round. The plant will be located at the 30-hectare plot in Al Warsan.
