Dubai Refreshment Company (DRC) is planning to build a new $109m integrated soft drinks factory and warehouse at Dubai Investments Park.

The facility will be built on a 140,000 square metre site and will have a capacity of around 150 million cases of soft drinks a year on completion, which is three times the company’s current capacity.

Construction is scheduled to start in December 2010, with completion set for early 2012.

DRC produces a number of branded soft drinks such as Pepsi and 7Up, which it sells in Dubai and the Northern Emirates of the UAE.
