MEED Editorial Director Richard Thompson talks to the US Autodesk Vice President of Marketing and Strategy Greg Eden about the future of 3D printing in the region.
Dubais 3D printing strategy received a boost in late October, when US computer-aided design technology giant Autodesk signed a agreement with the Dubai Future Foundation to support a $100m 3D printing investment fund.
The investment fund, which Autodesk calls Spark, aims to catalyse innovation, incubate and accelerate 3D printing start-ups in the region.
Start-ups and businesses that qualify for the fund will also be granted access to Autodesks marketing and software development capabilities.
