Egypt applies age restriction to Hajj and Umrah pilgrims

The Egytian government has stopped all nationals under the age of 25 years and over 65 travelling to Saudi Arabia for Hajj this year. The ban also applies to Egyptians who want to perform Umrah in Ramadan. The government said Hajj and Umrah travellers must abide by new health certificates to minimise the risk of spreading swine flu.
