An official at Egypt's Alexandria Cotton Exporters' Association has said that Alcotexa's sale commitments reached 4,133 tonnes of cotton last week that ended on March 10, Reuters has reported. The official has added that The sales comprised 75 tonnes of Giza 87 grade cotton, 366 tonnes of Giza 88 grade cotton, 13 tonnes of Giza 92 grade cotton and 3,679 tonnes of Giza 86. The deals bring Alcotexa's export commitments for the 2011/12 season, which began in September 2011, to 62,374 tonnes, worth $197.1m.
