Eight groups are bidding for the contract to install infrastructure to expand Sohar industrial estate, to be awarded by the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates.
The low bidder is the local Hasan bin Juma bin Backer Trading & Contracting with a price of RO 24m ($62m).
Al-Adrak Trading & Contracting, also local, was second lowest, with a bid of RO 27m ($70m), followed by India’s Gammon with Oman Holdings International who submitted a bid of RO 35m ($91m).
Other bidders include South Korea’s Sambu Construction, Desert Line Projects, Galfar Engineering & Contracting, both local, and India’s Nagarjuna Construction Company (MEED 7:9:07).
