Egypt’s first election since Mubarak’s resignation will begin on 28 November
On 14 November, Egypt’s Higher Administrative Court in Cairo lifted the election ban on former members of deposed leader Hosni Mubarak’s National Democratic Party.
A lower court had earlier sanctioned the ban preventing the members from running in the elections.
Egypt’s first election since the resignation of Mubarak in February will begin on 28 November. The vote is to elect an assembly that will appoint a committee to write a new constitution.
