The Austrian/Dutch Elin Holec is the low bidder for the latest Ministry of Electricity & Water (MEW) substation tender covering the supply and installation of three 132/11-kV substations in various locations.
Eight companies bid by the earlySeptember deadline, with Elin Holec's quote of KD 6.9 million ($22.2 million) some 6 per cent lower than the next cheapest bid submitted by Hungary's Transelektro. The new substations are to be built at Zahra, Shahada and Sadique (MEED 18:8:00).
