Emaar awards Dubai tower construction deal

10 April 2016

Building project is the latest to be awarded in Dubai this year

Local developer Emaar Properties has awarded Lebanon’s Arabian Construction Company (ACC) the estimated AED800m ($218m) contract to build the Boulevard Point tower in its Downtown district in Dubai.

The tower will be built next to Emaar’s under-construction Address Residence Fountain Views development. According to Emaar, the Boulevard Point project involves building a 63-storey residential tower with 297 one-, two-, and three-bedrooms apartments overlooking Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard. Amenities include swimming pools, a dedicated children’s area, a fully equipped gymnasium and a barbeque deck.

The consultant is Singapore’s DP Architects. The local International Foundations Group is working on the substructure.

Emaar awarded the estimated AED3bn contract for the construction of the adjacent Fountain Views development to ACC in 2014. That project involves building three towers including a 220-metre-tall, 60-storey, 280-unit luxury residential tower looking out to Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, and The Dubai Fountain.

The award for Boulevard Point is Emaar’s latest in the Downtown area. In March, it selected the local Al-Basti & Muktha (ABM) for the contract to build its Vida Residence tower.

The 57-storey building will have 320 residential units, including one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom serviced apartments. It will be linked directly to the Vida hotel opposite Souk al-Bahar by an air-conditioned glass bridge. The consultant is Canada’s Norr Group.
