Dubai firm will work on projects on Al-Marjan Island
Dubai developer Emaar Properties has signed an agreement to develop mixed-use projects on Ras al-Khaimahs Al-Marjan Island.
The agreement was signed by Sheikh Khalid bin Saud al-Qasimi, chairman of Al-Marjan Island, and Mohamed Alabbar, chairman of Emaar Properties. The deal involves building 186,000 square-metres of mixed-use projects that includes high-end residential, hospitality and retail components.
The first phase will have a five-star luxury hotel and serviced residences and a retail precinct.
Emaar has planned projects in the Northern Emirates before. In 2006 it was planning to build a marina development in Umm al-Quwain.
