He will reprise his role of head of consumer banking at National Bank of Kuwait in April, a position he held for seven years before his six-year tenure at Emirates Bank.

The move is part of the management reorganisation following the merger of Emirates Bank with National Bank of Dubai (NBD) in October. NBD head of retail banking Suvo Sarkar will be head of retail banking Emirates NBD. Jamal bin Ghalaita has been appointed general manager for consumer banking and wealth management.
