Emirates Airline said it plans to launch fewer new routes this year, and instead will be concentrating on strengthening its presence on routes where there is a greater demand from its customers. The airline said it will take 18 new aircraft into its fleet, and grow its weekly flight and seat capacity by 14%. 'The next year is not going to be an easy ride for the airline industry,' said Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed, the chairman and chief executive of Emirates.
