Emirates Airlines has announced that its brand new A380 will fly direct to New York's JFK airport on 1 August on its inaugural commercial service. The flight will also be the first commercial run by an A380 to the Americas. After the first flights the A380 will service one of the carriers regular twice-daily runs. Emirates is expecting delivery of the first of its 58 ordered A380s on 28 July.
