Serbian company waiting for Dewa to announce Hassyan project winner

Serbia’s Energoprojekt Entel is the low bidder for a transmission network contract in the UAE’s northern emirates.

Energoprojekt bid AED70m ($19m) for the scheme, which consists of seven packages. These include a package to build a 132kV substation as well as overhead lines and cables.

A team of Germany’s Lahmeyer International and the UK’s Mott MacDonald bid AED100m. Meanwhile Finland’s Poyry priced the contract at AED150m.

The UAE’s Federal Electricity & Water Authority awarded the contract.

In July, MEED reported that Energoprojekt had submitted the lowest bid for a 400kV substation at Hassyan in the southwest of Dubai. The client, Dubai Electricity & Water Authority, has yet to award the contract.
