The tender is open to the same 26 prequalifiers for the recently awarded GTC 126 package, the Ras Laffan-Mesaieed sweet gas pipeline. They will have until 19 December to submit bids for the 18-month contract, which calls for the construction of a 130-kilometre-long pipeline with a diameter of 16 inches, and a 13 kilometre-long pipeline with a diameter of 24 inches. The work will also include the construction of a new pumping station and modifications to six existing stations.

The pipeline will provide feedstock to petrochemical industries in Mesaieed, including the Qatar Chemical Company I (Q-Chem I)complex . The client - Qatar Petroleum - is expected to make an award by the end of the first quarter of 2005 (MEED 22:10:04).
