Etihad aims for 25 million passengers

Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways aims to fly 25 million passengers a year by 2020 and boost its network to up to 100 destinations worldwide, a top company executive said on Wednesday. Geert W. Boven, Etihad's executive vice president for sales and services, was speaking at a function hosted by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority. Etihad flew six million passengers in 2008 and it currently flies on 50 routes, which include destinations in the Middle East, Europe, North America, Africa and Asia.
