Etihad sees 41% rise in passengers

Abu-Dhabi based Etihad Airways said the number of passengers it carried in the first six months of 2008 jumped 41% compared to the same period last year. The airline carried 2.8 million passengers during the first half of this year, compared to nearly two million for the same period in 2007. The airline said it is on track to achieve its target of carrying six million passengers in 2008.
