Etihad Airways has said that its target for 2009 is to fly seven million passengers, after flying six million in 2008. The carrier also aims to expand its flight network to 55 destinations in 2009. Etihad currently has 42 aircraft and has said that it will expand the fleet to more than 50 planes.
