Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways plans to fly to 50 destinations by the end of 2008 and 100 cities by 2020, reported Reuters. Etihad CEO James Hogan said the airline's passenger numbers rose more than 40% in the first half of 2008 compared with the same period last year. The airline carried 2.8 million passengers from Jan. 1 through June 30, compared with nearly 2 million in the first half of 2007.
