Saudi Arabia’s Dammam Municipality is preparing to issue tender documents for the contract to reconstruct the central area of Qatif city in the eastern province of the kingdom.
According to sources close to the scheme, the municipality has already received prequalification documents and is preparing to tender the main construction contract imminently. The central area of Qatif city has recently been demolished, and appointed contractors will be responsible for building heritage buildings and associated infrastructure.
In addition to heritage buildings, the work will involve creating a large open park, and installing infrastructure such as roads and utilities.
