Adnoc Refining has however extended the commercial bid submission for the feed job

Engineering firms have submitted technical bids for the front-end engineering and design (feed) work for a new crude oil receiving terminal at Ruwais for the refining unit of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc Refining).

Technical bids were submitted on 10 October, a source has told MEED.

Adnoc Refining has extended the deadline for commercial bids to 11 November from 30 October. “Adnoc Refining has extended the commercial bid submission deadline upon request [from pre-qualified bidders],” the source said.

The value of the Feed contract is estimated to be between $3-$4m.

MEED earlier reported that about a dozen engineering firms were pre-qualified by Adnoc Refining to bid for the feed work, including:

  • WorleyParsons (Australia)
  • Bilfinger Tebodin (Germany)
  • SNC-Lavalin (Canada)
  • ILF Consulting Engineers (Germany/Austria)
  • Doris Engineering (France)
  • Neste Jacobs (Finland)
  • Wood Group (UK)
  • CH2M Hill (USA)
  • Techfem (Italy)

The project involves building a jetty and associated facilities for Adnoc Refining to receive crude oil from other locations, with the feedstock to be processed at the Ruwais refinery.
