Despite a drop in passenger demand, Emirates, Qatar Airways and Etihad are expected to more than triple their current fleets by 2015 and most of the other regional airlines also have substantial orders. Global strategic management consulting firm, A T Kearney said these plans should be reviewed in light of the economic climate. Overall passenger growth already decreased to 7% in 2008 from 18.1% in 2007.
