Biography: Zainal joined the QFC Authority in 2011 as chief administrative officer.

He has a background in administration, human resources and information technology and has held a number of previous leadership and executive positions, both at Qatar Project Management (QPM) 2009-11 and prior to that, at Qatar Petrochemicals (Qapco) where he worked for more than a decade, overseeing human resources, information technology, procurement and general services. 

Zainal earned an MBA from the University of Leicester (UK) and Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Beaumont University (USA). He currently sits on several advisory committees for governmental and education institutions.
