Biography: Fathi Alaaiddin is vice-president of operations in Oman and Pakistan for the Athens-based construction firm CCC.
Alaaiddin graduated from the American University in Beirut with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 1973, and completed a master’s degree in 1975. Alaaiddin joined CCC in January 1977. He has been with company for more than 33 years and was appointed vice-president for Oman and Pakistan in 2007.
With operations in oil, gas and petrochemicals, real estate and infrastructure, CCC is one of the largest contractors in the Middle East. CCC is also one of the region’s largest private sector employers with 170,000 staff. Alaaiddin also works with Omani government institutions on construction and corporate governance issues.
Alaaiddin is a member of the Oman Contractors Association and the Australian Engineering Society.
