Houthi rebels try to seize control of city

The Yemeni city of Aden has witnessed intense fighting as Houthi rebels intensify efforts to take over the city.

Local media has reported that clashes between the Shia Houthis and militia fighters loyal to President Abd Rabbu Mansour al-Hadi has increased despite airstrikes from Saudi-led coalition forces.

Other unconfirmed reports have stated that rebel tanks have been spotted rolling into the city.

Aid agency Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) told the BBC that 500 injured had been admitted to hospital, and witnesses have reported bodies lying in the streets.
