Nine companies prequalified for the project management consultancy
Contractors have one month left before bids are due in for the project management consultancy (PMC) contract on phase 2 of the Etihad Rail project.
The deadline for bids is set for 14 February. A total of nine companies or consortiums are prequalified for the contract.
Construction contracts for phase 2 were tendered as five different packages last July.The packages cover four different sections of the planned railway as well as one contract covering rail integration and systems. Bids for two of the civil works packages have been submitted.
The PMC contract for phase one of the Etihad Rail project, covering the construction of a link connecting the gas fields in Habshan and Shah to the port of Ruwais, was awarded to a joint venture between US firms Parsons and Aecom.
