Firms submit bids for Kuwait road improvement work

Bids have been submitted for road improvement works in Kuwait.

Four firms have submitted bids for the package, which covers the construction, completion and maintenance of the Mohammed bin Qasim road tunnel, from the crossroads with the fourth ringroad to Jamal Abdul Nasser street.

The bidding firms are Mohammed Abdulmohsin al-Kharafi & Sons Company, First Kuwaiti, Alghanim International, and the Kuwait Company for Process Plant Construction & Contracting (KCPC).

Alghanim is the low bidder for the work with a price of KD9.2m ($34m).

The project’s duration is expected to be 18 months.

The Public Works Ministry is the client.
