Resort will be part of the Capital District mixed-use development
Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (Adnec) has invited contractors to bid by 8 December for a contract to build an estimated AED350m ($95m) hotel at its Capital Centre development in Abu Dhabi.
The 26-floor hotel will be part of the new mixed-used development that surrounds the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
The local Al-Habtoor Engineering Enterprises is currently working on the estimated AED800 million third-phase buildings of the exhibition centre. This involves the construction of a mixed-use tower with offices and a hotel. Arabtec is working on the AED778 million second-phase contract (MEED 19:4:07).
The lead consultant for the exhibition centre buildings is UK-based RMJM. Mace Group, also of the UK, is the project manager.
