Firms to submit bids for Jeddah ring-road project

Bids are due in next week for the first phase of the Jeddah ring-road project.

The work is estimated to be worth approximately SR200m ($53m). The contract is expected to include 15 kilometres of road and four separate interchanges. An award is not expected until August.

On 21 April, bids are being submitted for the completion package of the Dammam Ring Road, which was due to be completed in 2007. The scope of work will include all intersections, bridges and interchanges for the entire road. The work is estimated to be worth SR400m.

The Ministry of Transport is the client for both contracts.
