The carrier will operate four flights a week to Colombo
Dubai’s low-cost carrier Flydubai will start flights to Sri Lanka from 23 June.
The new route will make Colombo, Sri Lanka’s capital the Flydubai’s 21st destination. The airline will initially operate flights four times a week to the island.
The airline has been keen to establish itself as a key carrier in the regional airline industry before it celebrates its first year of operation in June.
The carrier is also scheduled to launch a number of new routes in June including Lucknow which is Flydubai’s first route into India (MEED 12:5:10).
The carrier will also begin flights to Istanbul, Latakia and Karachi in June.
