Foreign investors buy $335 shares on Dubai exchange

Net foreign investment reached AED83.6m

Foreign investors bought shares worth AED1.232bn ($335m) on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) between 7 March and 11 March, according to a statement released by the exchange.

The shares purchased over the five days comprised 43.7 per cent of the total value of stocks.

The value of shares sold by foreign investors during the same period reached AED1.148bn, comprising 40.7 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period.

Net foreign investment on the exchange stood at AED83.6m.  

Meanwhile, net institutional investment reached AED131.6m, with institutional investors buying shares worth AED702 million, comprising 24.9 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the five days.

Institutional investors sold shares worth AED570.4m which constituted 20.2 per cent of the total value of stocks.
