Foreign set to start operations in Iran

Iranian finance ministry has said foreign banks have applied for licences to operate in the country, following the removal of legal obstacles to the presence and investment of foreign banks in Iran, Fars news agency has reported. “Eight foreign banks have already registered for license of activity in Iran and are waiting to receive the necessary permissions for establishing their branches across the country,” deputy finance minister Asqar Abolhassani said.
