Sete Energy plans to expand industrial treatment plant

The US’ Foster Wheeler has won a contract to design a wastewater treatment plant in Saudi Arabia through its global engineering and construction division.

The client is Sete Energy Saudi for Industrial Projects.

The contract covers the expansion of an industrial wastewater treatment plant owned by Power & Water Utility for Jubail & Yanbu (Marafiq).

Sete Energy is the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor on the industrial wastewater plant scheme.

Foster Wheeler will carry out the process design and provide technical assistance during the pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up phases. The expansion, which will add 55,000 cubic metres a day of treatment capacity, is due to come on line by the end of 2011.
