Fugro wins Galsi study

The Netherlands' Fugro has won the Eur 18 million ($26 million) contract for a marine survey on the planned Galsi gas pipeline to Italy.

Work includes geophysical and hydrographical surveys of the planned route and a survey of landing points in Algeria, Sardinia and Italy. Fugro will submit a final report in July 2008 following the survey's completion in April. The project involves 529 kilometres of pipeline in depths of up to 2,850 metres (MEED 14:9:07).
